Brief Description:

This is a complete education institute information portal with core objective to provide information on education institutes. This project proved to be one more feather in the success crown of Elegant MicroWeb with sign off in much less than promised duration.

Modules / Functionalities:

The client wanted to create an independent environment where education seekers, education providers and support service providers can interact with each other to serve mutual purposes. To meet all these objectives, the company required a Web 2.0 solution in the form of a web portal with content management system.

The client picked Drupal as content management system for the portal. Elegant MicroWeb worked with the client team to design and develop architecture and framework for the portal. The mutually agreed design and architecture were further developed into a complete portal.

The project was divided in three phases: Customized theme design with look-n-feel; customizing functionalities from Drupal CMS; and developing custom-made functionalities and modules.

This architecture and design required to utilize some of the functionalities already available in Drupal. They were:

• News
• Story
• Video
• Advert
• User Registration & Management
• Multi-lingual support

Some of functionalities already available in the Drupal content management system were semi-customized to meet client requirement before integration. They were: Theme and Forum.

The new functionalities developed by Elegant MicroWeb included:

• Education Institute
• Bulletin board with category
• Advanced search features
