As a smart city, the Client organization uses a range of approaches to achieve its goals including digital and information technologies, urban planning best practices, public-private partnerships, and policy changes.

The Elegant MicroWeb team collaborated with the Client team to develop a comprehensive understanding of requirements, workflow and processes and to define a database design and architecture to meet these requirements. Case Study: Development of Public Website & Events Management Portal for India Centre for High Technology

The Centre for High Technology (CHT) is funded by the Oil Industry Board in India and is part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It was established in 1987 to anticipate future requirements, and acquire, develop and adopt technologies to advance refinery processes, petroleum products and other related areas.

Elegant MicroWeb worked with the Centre for High Technology (CHT) team to satisfy all objectives including the redesign of its public website using responsive layouts and user-friendly menus and navigation, the design and development of a Discussion Forum to be used by internal team members, a portal for the Refinery Technology Events Management (RTM) including attendee registration, the approval and publishing of expert abstracts, biographies and papers, as well as tasks related to events and approval workflows for internal team members. All project output included testing and auditing to ensure government regulations for data and user security in compliance with the India CERT-IN standards. The India Country Coordinating Mechanism (India-CCM) was established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and other relevant and interested stakeholders. Its purpose was to access Global Fund grant monies, and to ensure those funds were well-coordinated within the national response, as well as to provide national oversight and ownership of grant implementation.

The project resulted in a redesign and reimagining of the India-CCM website to include responsive layouts and user-friendly menus and navigation. Case Study: Complete ERP Solution for Gujarat State Forest Department Corporation Ltd.

The Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation Limited (GSFDC) in India is affiliated with the National Agriculture Commission (NAC) and works to eliminate the private trade used by forest dwellers in India to derive profit from the collection of Minor Forest Produce and to protect the economic interest of tribal cultures and other constituents.

The Client engaged Elegant MicroWeb to automate the complete process of procurement, manufacturing, selling, inventory management and distribution of goods within different units of the corporation, generate and track bills, receipts and invoices automatically through a system, and easily report on the information in the system. The resulting solution provides an ERP framework with a centralized view of all core activities and units and an advanced reporting system that is easy enough for all users to adopt. Elegant MicroWeb developed a Visitor Pass Management System to enable AMC staff for all zones and offices to track and organize all data related to visitor access. Elegant MicroWeb deployed trained manpower and hardware resources across all AMC offices for smooth and effective functioning of the visitor pass management system. The newly deployed System Dashboard enables AMC staff to have a clear view of the passes issued on a particular day by department for all zone offices or a particular zone to enable management, monitoring and reporting and help the team to identify issues and opportunities to provide efficient visitor services.

The Gujarat Tourism organization promotes tourism within the state and provides support for visitors and residents with comprehensive travel assistance and services including accommodation, conducted tours and ground transport and a wide range of choice to meet the diverse needs of visitors and to promote the many historic sites and sites of interest in Gujarat. As part of this charter, The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat generates extensive digital content in the form of videos, photos and images, brochures, documentaries, advertisements and other data. In the past, the users of the tourism department had to engage in a complicated manual process to review each data repository one-by-one and select content because there was no one tool to easily search integrated data or allow users to share content with other stakeholders.

The Elegant MicroWeb team built and implemented a centralized digital library portal to categorize and search content and share the digital content with internal and external stakeholders. Content includes images, videos, sound files and documents, so users can now download information and digital content files and convert any content from one format to another, and invite others to access and download the content from the portal. An internet community, market research, consultation and eDemocracy solution provider in the UK engaged Elegant MicroWeb to design and develop a solution to manage online petitions for eGovernance. The business focuses on thought leadership and on gathering feedback and opinion to help government and private organizations make sustainable decisions. The solution allows patrons to weigh in on topics, causes and issues of common interest.

Elegant MicroWeb worked closely with the business team from concept through solution design, development and implementation. The solution includes an administrative interface to manage petitions, accept and reject petitions, publish and email results. The User (client) interface, allows users to create, search and view petitions, sign a petition, open and close petitions and view rejected petitions. The solution was built for Windows operating system, on a .Net framework with a SQL Server back end.

Case Study: Customer Loyalty Software Product Widget for UK eConsulting, Market Research Firm

Elegant MicroWeb worked with a UK eConsulting, Market Research business to design a web-based widget to measure customer satisfaction and increase customer loyalty. Customers were asked just one question and the responses were analyzed to enhance and improve products and services offered by the organization over the period. In order to meet business objectives the widget had to be easy to configure, and easy to promote and use to obtain maximum responses. Personalized emails were sent, with a unique URL so the users could respond without the need to register. Feedback request could be offered via various web channels.

Elegant MicroWeb analyzed requirements, and designed and built a widget to allow customer managers to create just one question – loyalty question. Once a question is created, customer manager (administrator) can select respondents, design personalized email and rating scale for participant response. Response tracking processes allowed the business to follow-up non respondents and track responses. App also included response analysis and categorization to measure customer loyalty index over the period of time.

A U.K. internet community, market research and consultation, eDemocracy solution provider selected Elegant MicroWeb to design a web-based software product that would enable users to create employee, stakeholder, customer and citizen communities and encourage collaboration, feedback and the structuring of ideas and innovation processes. The solution would support open communities, as well as communities requiring invitation and registration. The objective was to help the business gain deeper insights and deliberative engagement with customers, stakeholders and thought leaders.
